A date for your diary !
It’s just a week until the Moffat Christmas Lights Festival! Oh the excitement!! 😁 Free admission, free parking, so much fun! Please share this event with your friends and family, we’d hate them to miss out.
Here is the rough plan for the day, please don’t hold us to it, there are children, animals, guests from the North Pole and numerous stall holders and entertainers involved, so we all just do our best 😂.
12 midday - The 40+ stalls are open, food and drink vendors are ready to serve you, Potts amusements are cranked up to 11 with lights and music and much whirling!
12 midday Opening act on the stage: Gymnastics from Moffat Gym
1pm on the stage Children’s and Pets’ Fancy Dress Competition - no forms, no entrance fee, just turn up and look Fab-u-lous Daaahling!
1.15pm (Approximately) Ryan-the-Piper leads the parade of Fancy Dress participants and Rudolph and Elves and everyone to the Upper Annandale Parish Church.
1.35pm Santa (Really! I’m so excited!!) will abseil down the tower!! He’s been training all year on a special ice tower at the North Pole.
1.45pm Ryan-the Piper leads the parade with Santa back to the stage.
2.30pm Zumba at the stage - Get dancing to work off those doughnuts!
3pm The Choir will be singing on the stage - you know it is Christmas when you hear carols 🎶🎵
4pm Ryan-the Piper and Santa go to Bankfoot Care Home
4.15pm The Fabulous Christmas Raffle is drawn on the stage. (Tickets available at many local businesses and on the day - until they sell out 😮)
5pm Santa and the winner of the Fancy Dress competition switch on Moffat Christmas Lights.
Remember - this is just an optimistic plan, please listen out for announcements on the day 😁🤞🏻😁See you all next Sunday!!
