Due to rising costs ,especially petrol and stock prices going up,unfortunately I have had to put my prices up.I have,as you all know,held off as long as possible doing this as we are all feeling the pinch.

Just to inform my clients of a few changes that will be implemented for when i return to work

*a visor will be worn at all times
*clients are asked to wear a mask when social distancing is not in place due to the proximity of the sevice
*items will be sanitised before/ during/ after EVERY client
*handgel and antibacterial sprays will be used throughout
*Hairs must be shampooed and clean prior to me coming for service
*towels/gowns will be provided 1 use per customer and disposable capes for those having colour services
*A small charge of £1 per customer will be added to cover the cost of PPE( I have masks for those who don’t)
* PLEASE NOTE as i havent raised my prices in quite some time, It was meant to be done in April,but due to COVID 19 ,I will however postpone this as it has effected everyone.There will be a small price increase later in the year

Freelance Hairdressers' Association

Just to remind people that by law ,I am still unable to work. I so wish I could but I can be fined if I was to work,along with any other hairdressers.hopefully fingers crossed that I can be up and running by July 4th. I have changed my holiday for this year which was end of July so now I have freed up an extra fortnight to fit you all in.😀

The FHA would like to make it clear that it is illegal for hairdressers to work during lockdown.

THIS IS AN EXCERPT FROM A REPORT BY THE HEALTH & SAFETY EXECUTIVE:
“Mobile hairdressers, beauty practitioners etc would be classed as peripatetic workers and this cohort of the working population would fall to HSE for H&S enforcement of the Health & Safety at Work Act. Any concerns relating to the disregard of Public Health England social distancing measures should therefore be reported to HSE.”

LOCKDOWN RESTRICTIONS
The lockdown restrictions are backed up by legislation (Health & Safety at Work Act) and there are fines. In England they’ve just been doubled, and increase for repeat offenders to up to £3200. If any FHA members are found to be ignoring the law their membership will be immediately cancelled.

YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO WORK
Currently July 4th is when all hairdressers, salons and mobile, can go back to work. Unless the Government change the date.
We are being inundated with emails asking the FHA if it is OK for hairdressers to work with all kinds of excuses. Can I cut hair in the garden? Is it OK if I wear gloves and a mask? I work from home is it OK to have clients one at a time?

NO! NO! NO! IT IS NOT OK TO WORK UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
It is illegal and you stand to be fined. The Government states that hairdressers cannot work until 4th July at the earliest. If you work not only are you breaking the law, you risk a heavy fine and it could be the end of your career.

So here it is....looking at July for us hairdressers coming back to work🤞🏼🤞🏼 not what we were all hoping for but best to keep us all safe and limit the spread of Covid-19.

Please understand it is as frustrating for me as it is yourselves but we are all in this together.I will inform you in due course of any information or changes that will be happening in the near future.

Please stay safe all of you and if we all abide by the rules we can all get back to “normal” sooner rather than later because I miss our chats, laughs and random conversations !😂

Hellooo again!! After a few requests I have made priority list for when I am able to work.If anyone would like to be added,it will be added in order of requests.The people on so far are ones who have specifically asked so it will be a case of first come first served.

I don’t know when this will be due to the government guidelines will keep you informed😄

Hi everybody,just an update. Obviously as things stand right now I’m still unable to offer my services until the government state I am allowed to. This also includes making “home colour kits”.
Although I would LOVE to help and keep your greys at bay,making a colour kit of your own colour ,to put on yourself at home,is unfortunately something I’m not allowed to do.
This would infact void any insurance and if anything( god forbid) were to happen then I would be liable. Not only that many of you have 2 or 3 colours which wouldn’t work anyway!

Again PLEASE PLEASE just hang tight and wait. It’s not worth the damage and cost afterwards to put it right!There are various root sprays you can buy which do a brilliant job if you really feel the need which wash out.

I do appreciate you all are busting for your hair sorted ( as am I 😂)I promise I will do my utmost to get through you all as swiftly as possible as soon as this is over!!
Thankyou for your patience and loyalty ,it really means the world ,as long as you all stay safe then I’m a happy girl!! 🥰

Hi all!! Just to confirm that due to the extended government guidelines on social distancing and being in lockdown due to COVID 19 ,that it will be at least another 3 weeks before I am able to return to work. By then I expect there will be some lovely roots going on and some wonky fringes but we are all in this together!! Stay safe everyone and hopefully my next post will be that we can get back to normal( whatever that is!😁)
