Beach, Bikes, and Big Thrills: Portrush Beach Races Are Back!

Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th September 2024

The adrenaline-packed Portrush Beach Races are back, and they’re revving up to deliver an unforgettable weekend! 🤩

Taking place on the stunning East Strand, over 100 daring riders will tear across the sands in a thrilling series of races, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of one of the Causeway Coast and Glens’ most scenic spots.

Thanks to the hard work of Knock Motor Cycle Club and Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, this isn’t just a race – it’s a full-blown family festival! Expect fun for all ages, with loads of entertainment to keep everyone buzzing.

And the best part? Spectator admission is absolutely FREE!

Parking is close by and signposted, so you can stroll over to the epic viewing area and catch all the action. 🚴‍♂️💨

ONE MONTH TO GO!!

The NI International Air Show returns to Portrush on 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟕𝐭𝐡 & 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 for two days of aviation attractions and family fun.

The support of title sponsors, Spirit AeroSystems and Thales, leading names in the global aerospace engineering sector, marks an exciting development for the flagship event as thousands of visitors are expected to enjoy the ground and air displays.

For 2024, the event is moving to a new location along the coast starting from Ballyreagh Golf Course to West Bay in Portrush, offering visitors panoramic views and a chance to get prime viewing of the attractions in the sky.

The fast and furious Typhoon will appear on both days, demonstrating its rip-roaring power with a collection of jaw-dropping manoeuvres, along with the RAF Vampire and Aerosuperbatics Wingwalkers.

Along the breathtaking coastal route, a wide range of captivating and family friendly activities will expand the entertainment offering to include an array of vintage aircraft, live music, trade stands, fun zone, artisan food markets, and arts and crafts stalls.

Music acts appearing over the weekend include Leading Ladies, The Soda Popz 50s/60s band and the RAF Band.

The exciting STEM Village sponsored by Matrix brings together world-class local employers and education providers. These exhibits, located at Ballyreagh Golf Course, are aimed at inspiring young people to consider a STEM orientated career with interactive, fun and engaging displays and tasks.

Entertainment from 6pm with DJ Kids Party, Magician, Face painting, Firepoi/LED Juggler and Stilt Walkers.

Live music on the stage by FreeFall from 8pm to 10pm. 🎶

Grand finale spectacular fireworks display from Ramore Head at 10pm.🎇
