‘The Meadow Cottage’ is also ready for it’s first guests of the year - we’ve decorated the bedroom in this cottage too so today’s guests will be the first to enjoy the fluffy new carpet.

Time to Dress Up 1940s style! Brougham Hall Wartime Weekend will be held on 7th and 8th May 2022 & Penrith Town Council UK are working with the organisers to bring a little bit of 1940s Homefront Penrith into the town centre on Saturday 7th May.

Lots happening at Brough and Kirkby Stephen this weekend with the market on all day and the 'Easter Rally' of vintage commercial vehicles. We recommend arriving early and parking in the Kirkby Stephen carpark or grammar school - from there you can catch one of the classic buses to get around all the attractions.

Opening soon! An exciting new fun day with kids at Raby Castle (about an hour away by car). As well as Plotters Forest there is the castle itself, gardens and a deer park so plenty to do to make the drive worthwhile. You need to book ahead online if you want to visit during your stay.
