Boris came to Appledore and Instow today and went to see the shipyard, which is only moments from the cottage! 🤩👍

SO PROUD of our team today 👏. Whatever our thoughts around COVID-19 and its impact, we have taken our responsibility seriously from day one to manage the challenging rules imposed to keep our team and customers safe throughout the pandemic 😷.

It is with immense pride that Holly delivered a masterclass in COVID-19 hygiene & safety practices this afternoon when the turned up unexpectedly in & at our beach hut. An exemplary demo in the art of social distancing, wearing a visor & gloves, hand sanitiser at the ready and, what you're all wondering, yes taking a contactless payment too 😉. Huge thanks to Bex too for preparing a catering Devon picnic lunch for secret VIP guests today (now we know who). Well done & thank you for doing such a great job to fly the flag for Devon and keeping our community safe 😍!

Turning to one of the key reasons for the PM’s visit to today, sure you'll have heard the fantastic announcement that shipyard is to re-open. Here’s hoping to a real boost and lifeline to the local economy and local jobs in such an unpredictable climate 🙏

Do you know the 7 stages of handwashing? Nope we didn’t either, but now our guests will when they stay at the cottage. Just some small handy signs to remind us to stay safe!

As part of our commitment to keeping our guests safe we have provided a handy Covid-19 guidance section in our welcome pack. We have also added wipes and disinfectant for all guests to use.
