I love this photo! When you experiement by shining the torches off of different coloured kayaks you can get some spectacular results. The couple in this photo had to stand still for around 8 seconds on this long exposure shot taken at the back of the 400ft long "Bunker cave".
We try to visit this cave on every Kayak tour if the sea allows us

🏊Mermaid's Tunnel swim😍
One of the most popular experiences with ACTours is our Mermaid's Tunnel swim tour.
We start off with a 30min guided walk and learn about how the tides and swell works as well as Arbroath's impressive geology and smuggling history. We then get some music on, jump in the water and swim the 350ft tunnel. If we are super lucky then the sun will light the water up an Emerald green colour😍

4️⃣In at number 4..... The Pink Paddler

Our guide Kev was paddling out of the Blowhole cave when the sun beams hit his pink kayak, causing colours to reflect on the ceiling of the cave. The sun also created the Emerald coloured water inside the cave resulting in this unique photo😍

5️⃣In at number 5..... The Sunrise Paddler
Nothing beats kayaking on the east coast at sunrise😍 This was taken at 5.30am in August on one of our beautiful sunrise tours. I love the way the water from the paddle is frozen in mid air.

6️⃣In at number 6..... Dreamy Dolphins😍

This was one of the many up close Dolphin encounters we had this year. The pods travel up and down the coast everyday, you just need to be in the right place at the right time. We had several tours this year where guests got to experience the 5 best caves (The Big 5) and Dolphins on 1 tour. This is rare but an incredible experience if you are lucky enough on the day of your trip.

🇩🇪We're on German TV again🎉
This time with the channel 'Arte' filming our Stalactite cave walking tour. This is our 4 minute section of the full 40min documentary.
This past season we had loads of German people coming to do the kayak tours due to a documentary that aired in 2023.

8️⃣In at number 8..... Emerald Creepy Ballroom💚

One of the greatest caves at the cliffs we call 'The Creepy Ballroom'. It's over 4ooft long and has the greatest ceiling of all the caves at the cliffs. Their are hundreds of green coloured stalactites which gain their colour from the sunlight. The deeper you go into the cave and away from the sunlight, the less colourful and more creepier it gets.
In summer the ceiling is a vibrant sparkly silver colour which is caused by condensation and bacteria in the water droplets.

🚣This cave is included on both our 2hr and 3hr Kayak tours

9️⃣In at number 9..... The Flying Ozzy!🇦🇺

Love this photo! This was a family kayak tour and after exploring several caves we all had great fun cliff jumping in Mermaids. Although the Ozzy kids got a wee bit cold as our waters are not 30°C!!😂

🔟In at number 10..... Emerald water in the blowhole cave

The Emerald coloured water happens in 5 different caves at the cliffs and only happens when the sun is at the correct angle in the sky and the sea is calm (as there is not a lot of sediment in the water). All of these caves have light coloured sand on the seabed instead of rocks and from what I have read it is caused by the suns beams reflecting off the bright coloured seabed.

😍I've seen this hundreds of times now and everytime I am blown away
