Been a real animal day today at Eshaness! Had a visit from our Sheepy neighbours who got a good view from on top of the rock! Rona and Lunna out for a walk too!
Also a big thank you to my lovely friend who has made 2 jigsaws from her photos for Eshaness guests. They are gorgeous!

If anyone fancies a wee break to look forward to we have some availability from 22nd February 2025 ....please get in touch for availability and offers. We are fully booked from late March onwards until late October.

My friend and I went for a hill walk up Sidhean Mor today just out of Arisaig! Must say my wee legs are definitely shattered now but we loved every minute and were lucky with the weather. The first part of the walk is up Glen Beasdale to the top ( can park in the layby or walk from Beasdale Station).The summit is then best approached by heading up to the left...walking towards the rusty gate then head up to the left towards the summit...601m. It takes a couple of hours to reach the summit but great views on a good day!

Enjoyed a wee wander to the Soap cave and White Rock at Rhu this morning! Actually it was more like an adventure course than a wander...climbing over rocks and plodding through bogs but so worth the trek!! The Cave was once used as a base for making soap from seaweed and there is a well made outer wall still left and some very old graffiti. The painted white rock acts as an old marker for boats accessing the channel 😀

A beautiful drone shot 😍

Reminiscing about the last week of sunshine we have had here on the west coast of Scotland 💙 So many days spent at the beach feeling like I was in the Caribbean with turquiose waters, white sands and the sun warming everything.

Today we're back to grey skies which I'm not that sad about as it gives me time to edit photos and reset for the coming week. Also, I can see all the colour changes of the forest canopy out my window which I'm excited about, who doesn't love Autumn colours 🍂

This photo is from our beach wanderings yesterday at Traigh, one of the places I have frequently swam with friends.

Went to deliver some straw to a friend in Mallaigvaig this afternoon and walked right into a sea eagle display!!! Wow!

Large fire today on the Kinloid Moor and on the hills above Camusdarach. This was an interesting trip to Mallaig tonight!

A wee bit stormy here this morning! Used to dread storms when I was looking after a salmon hatchery in Eshaness on Shetland because that meant power cuts and alarms going off all the time and a busy time keeping the fish alive till the generator started!! Now I can relax a little more in a storm along as the tide is far out and not coming over the wall!!!

Welcome to ESHANESS | a luxury self catering house tucked away on it’s own grounds in the picturesque village of Arisaig on the west coast of Scotland. 🌟

ESHANESS was built in 2011 and is architecturally designed with feature windows to maximise the amazing views across Arisaig Bay to the Sgùrr of Eigg and peaks of Rum.

The main internal feature is the beautiful natural stone chimney which reaches up to the cathedral ceiling and incorporates a sundial. It is a delight in the evenings to relax and watch the setting sun sliding behind the islands from the floor to ceiling windows, or from the outdoor hot tub!

Eshaness is the perfect location for exploring the delights of the local area of Arisaig and further afield including the Isle of Skye, Small Isles, the Knoydart Peninsula and Ardnamurchan (Britain’s most westerly point).
