THE WELLY REPORT - week beginning 14th July 2024
It looks like the first half of the week will be mainly dry. Towards the weekend, it’s a mist/fog/rain combination. Summer in Argyll. Predictably unpredictable.
Welly rating: anything from a 1/5 to a 4/5. You decide. This week? We have no idea.

THE WELLY REPORT - week beginning 30th June 2024
Some light rain at times this week with some sunny breaks and we’ve even got some fog for you. Thursday is looking about as windy as a day on curried baked beans. It looks like it could brighten up at the weekend though. Barbecue from a sauce bottle this week, I’d say.

THE WELLY REPORT - week beginning 9th June 2024
Last week we experienced sunshine, rain and even hail and that was just in one afternoon! This week looks much better with sun and cloud and only the slightest bit of rain on a couple of days. The temperature might even hit a high of 14°. Fetch the Speedos! (n.b. budgie smugglers with wellies is not a good look!)

THE WELLY REPORT - week beginning 26th May 2024
Oh how rude, Bank holiday confusion set in and we forgot to post your ultimate forecast yesterday! It's another mixed week of weather. Shouldn't be too much rain but enough to keep the ground damp. It cheers up a bit towards the weekend with some sunshine. Moody cow of a week.

THE WELLY REPORT - Week beginning 19th of May 2024
Here we go, spring is the season that keeps on giving. The first few days are cloudy, sunny and then Wednesday hits with rain and getting to a low of 10° but then it picks up towards the weekend. Muscle vests and anoraks are de rigour this week.
Welly rating 3/5, bring midge repellent.

THE WELLY REPORT - week beginning 5th of May 2024
Rainy tomorrow. The rest of the week is grey with hints of sun and suggestions of rain. It's kind of like a traditional Scottish palette if you were looking at a McTaggart painting. Who needs that nonsense, just bring wellies.

THE WELLY REPORT - week beginning 7th of April 2024
Didn't really predict Storm Kathleen last week. The magic seaweed clearly wasn't working as it should. Anyway, we persevere. This week looks to be very mixed. Expect some rain, some sun, some cloud, and some nightly gusty winds (may depend on what's cooking).

LIFE ON THE LOCH: We love seeing visitors coming all this way up the loch (it’s called Loch Long for a reason 😉). This is The Glen Etive, one of the Majestic Line cruise ships. We love how the lights twinkle on the water. Pretty.
