Welcome to our hill sheep farm situated above the River Dove near the picturesque hamlet of Milldale. Our self-catering bungalow, in its own limestone walled garden is tastefully furnished and is ideal for couples or families. Whilst our traditional shepherd’s huts give a more unusual break, luxury glamping, with wood burning stoves offering a warm and cosy romantic retreat, just for couples. Open

all year, a perfect location to explore the Peak District on foot, with walks from the doorstep or touring round.

Chatsworth Christmas Market is now on, why not start getting in the festive spirit and time your visit with a stay at New Hanson Grange. After a day browsing the market stalls return to your cosy shepherds hut and enjoy some more mulled wine and mince pies by a roaring fire 🎄🎁

Spooktacular Half Term and Halloween 🎃

Enjoy a stay in a shepherd hut. With real bats, hooting owls, cobwebs and rustling trees in the heart of the Peak District countryside.

Snuggle up in a hut with the crackle of the wood burner or on a clear night sit round the campfire and see what's in the night sky. Just £55 per night for the hire of a hut sleeping 1-2 persons in each.

Alternatively, we have our self-catering Bungalow sleeping 2-4 persons.

This month of May is National Walking Month- what better month to dust off those walking boots and do some exploring on foot, a healthy and enjoyable way to discover the countryside around us.
We have many walks from the farm, short, long, circular amongst hills, dales and trails.

Spring into March

The month of March is the start of spring with hints of new life just round the corner, flowers and trees in bud and love in the air for our wildlife.

Celebrate National Wildlife Day on 3rd March. Our farm is host to a multitude of creatures great and small, hares, foxes, squirrels, badgers, bats, moles, newts, owls, buzzards and many more.

Enjoy a stay in the Derbyshire countryside in either our holiday bungalow or shepherds huts and see if you can spot any of our wonderful British wildlife!
