Charlie and Diva had a lovely stay last weekend. At 17, Charlie struggles to walk far but loved pottering around our garden. Diva, on the other hand, loved running around it at full speed! It really is the perfect garden for everyone.

Denstone Hall Farm Shop & Café is a 5 min drive from Oldfields Farm - dog friendly holiday cottage Derbyshire and one of the best farm shops in the country. It's the perfect place to stock up on food for a self-catering stay, including lots of locally made products. They also have a fabulous cafe', which allows dogs outside and in the outdoor doggy hut.

We managed to catch some of the Ashbourne International Streetfest yesterday whilst walking through the town. What a fabulous way to start the Ashbourne Festival

Bees and butterflies are incredibly important but have been struggling in recent years. We decided to plant lots of plants for pollinators and they seem to be enjoying them, especially this lavender! So wonderful to see so many of them out in the sunshine today.
This cutie-pie is Cindy who stayed with us last week. She loved having tummy tickles on our rug, looking out the doggy window and playing in the garden.
If you want your dog to be as happy as Cindy then have a look at our website (www.oldfieldsfarm.co.uk) for our availability and prices.
And the answer was....CHICKENS! Please welcome Elsie, Sylvia, Daisy, Goldie, Henrietta and Buffy the Egg Layer! They will be providing guests with the eggs in their welcome basket (during the spring and summer as they are seasonal layers).
We had a great morning taking part in the annual Snelston Duck Race! A lovely community event 😊
We'd like to wish all our past, present and future guests a very Happy Easter. We hope you're enjoying yourselves as much as this little lamb in one the fields in our village!
We're all doing our happy dances to celebrate the first anniversary of our first guests since taking over the business! We've welcomed lots of people, 34 dogs, helped with four birthday celebrations (including one for a dog) and a wedding anniversary. This coming year should be even more exciting and we've even got a couple of honeymoon bookings!
Around Oldfields Farm
Have you ever wondered what the area around Oldfields Farm looks like? Well, now you know! We have the best of both worlds as we are surrounded by beautiful countryside but only a 10 minute drive from the market town of Ashbourne. You can even see one of our doggy guests running around in our enclosed private garden for guests. (Credit: James McMurdie & https://youtu.be/iGJMEu4vyik)
Dotty has arrived and she seems as excited as we are!
