‘The Burford’ is our green hut, decorated in a more traditional style with wool and tweed at the forefront.

Our three huts are beautifully presented and ‘The Burford’ is no exception. Within it you will find a luxurious interior that has been cleverly designed to make the most of the space in the hut. There is a full size and supremely comfortable king size bed with good storage around for your things. The small kitchen area is perfectly formed to cook up a feast. There are comfortable armchairs to rest in, underfloor heating keeps the hut warm and there is a small log burner for chillier days. Off the main room is an ensuite shower room.

Straight lines on point…

We are so lucky to have the most incredible grounds team who keep the paddock looking fabulous for all our guests.

A lot of thought was put into the planting when we first started back in 2021 and it’s lovely to see all the young trees and shrubs growing into themselves.

Everything has looked particularly green this year, thanks rain, but the autumnal colours are slowly creeping in.

🌸’The Barrington’🌸 - dog friendly hut

‘The Barrington’ is decorated in a more eccentric and contemporary style, with fun and wacky vibes throughout. Great Barrington and Little Barrington are two small hamlets either side the Windrush valley two miles directly North of Westwell Downs.

Barrington Park, a Palladian manor house built by Lord Talbot in 1737, is surrounded by an eclectic mix of cottages, formally providing accommodation for the estate workers. Above the manor in isolated splendour is an 18th century folly, which although on private land, is clearly visible from the road, often complete with a magnificent herd of fallow deer.

The footpath network through woodlands full of snowdrops and bluebells, and along the river Windrush, are a paradise for the casual walker or serious hiker, with some of the best views in the Cotswolds.

This is our dog friendly hut, so it is often our most popular.

The sleeping area boasts a king size bed made up with luxury British bed linen and cosy woollen throws.

It is separated from the living area with a half partition, and for those who can’t quite switch off, there is a small tv at the foot of the bed.

Anyone else looking forward to swapping these grey damp skies for crisp fresh sunrises?

Rain rain - go away! It’s safe to say we’ve seen record amounts of rain over the last week. Although our huts are warm, dry and cosy - it’s going to be a long winter if it stays this wet. A timely reminder how excellent our rain chains are - don’t they do a great job? Bonus points that they don’t fill with moss and leaves! NB: an old video right at the very beginning of our journey - notice the lack of plants and vegetation around the huts!
