What style is the decor at Alexander House? It's a good question! And one that we get asked a lot..... and where to get certain items, so here's a few ideas for you from the most commonly asked.

We like to say our style is Modern Country, but with a twist....

After all, we found the circular lamp in the barn as a cartwheel, and had it made into huge circular chandelier - thank you to for sharing our vision, and our coat hooks aren't just hooks.... they're pretty too!

Then we just couldn't resist the telephone drinks cabinet!

And.... every good house should have a giant wineglass full of corks - no?!

Small weddings..... why do we love a small wedding? And what IS a 'small wedding'... well, for us, that's any number under 102! Alexander House caters for weddings from 2-102 guests, with the average number of guests in the Orangery 52, and in the House 18.

So when we get asked to help host a bigger wedding, we always ask the question.... have your really nailed that guest list? After all, how long are you going to spend with each one of those guests on the day? Will they be on your 20th Wedding Anniversary invite list too? Would you buy them a slap up dinner/party the night away with them if it weren't your wedding day? If the answer is yes to all those things then those sound like friends for life... if not, it's one expensive night out for someone you might not know in a wee while!

That's just our gentle opinion though, so if a huge wedding is your thing, go for it, you deserve the day of your dreams however big, or small, your wedding is! 💒💕💕💒

You'll find cosy space saving beds, electric heating, and comfy seating inside for that stay with a difference!

Outside you'll find gorgeous wood fired hot tubs for spectacular star gazing.... (remember your beanie if it's chilly outside, because you'll be toasty in the tub, but a little bit cooler on your head!), hanging chair and outdoor seating too.

You can even order a takeaway to be delivered from our local town! A slice of countryside heaven, but still with 5G mobile signal!........

Our Story

Self-Catering Holiday House & Annexe, Wedding Venue and Glamping site. Dog friendly in the main house and Juniper.

Sleeps up to 25 in the main house, annexe, and 2 x yurts (sleep 2 each) and our converted horse lorry (sleeps 2 adults and 2 children) A lovely place to retreat with family and friends for gatherings and special occasions of all types. Every luxury and creature comfort for your stay! With covered heated swimming pool, hot tub and games room, outdoor children's play area there's something for all ages to do, in summer and winter, rain and shine. Alexander House, just minutes from Gleneagles. Amazing views, stunning scenery, but close to Perth, Stirling, and just an hour from both Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Our new garden room will be due for completion for winter 2020.
