Another little summer holiday life hack

I have been very quiet on the travel side of things as I realise that we have been so far away from considering holidays meantime. It would have been quite irresponsible of me to be suggesting even Staycations.
Today is the first time in a while that I can see a possible light at the end of the tunnel. There may still be restrictions throughout the April to July periods and with this in mind I will be focusing on August/September holidays.
The UK and Greece are in talks to try to find a travel solution/agreement and if this moves forward I anticipate that many other European holiday destinations will follow suit.

On this private adventure into the Scottish landscape with your driver/ guide, Ian, you will Immerse yourself in the stunning landscape around Glencoe, and discover the tales that haunt the stunning snow-capped peaks and dramatic valleys, on a unique, private adventure you will never forget.

Travelling south from Fort William following the shores of Loch Linnhe and Loch Leven to the village of Glencoe, overlooked by the famous Pap of Glencoe Mountain. You will learn the story of the 1692 massacre of Glencoe and travel through the spectacular scenery that is Glencoe, learning about the volcanoes and glaciers that shaped the landscape we see today. Then you will take a walk up the steep narrow path to discover the Lost Valley where the MacDonald’s hid their cattle. Carrying on to Glen Etive you will start with a visit to the waterfalls on the river Coupall, the subject of innumerable iconic images.

Further down the glen, you will stop at the location of the famous scene from Skyfall and we will look for the red deer which can often be found grazing close to the road.
An amazing day immersed in the Scottish highland scenery, and Scotland’s Big Five of red deer, red squirrel, harbour seal, otter and golden eagle can all be found in this area. You’ll learn about the flora, history and geology of the area; your guide Ian MacLeod is also an experienced photographer who can help you get the best from your camera.

There is more to Lanzarote than the sun, sea and beaches. You need to get off the beaten track and explore. Last year my girls and I did just that and what we learned and saw in The Timanfaya National Park will stay with us forever. Definitely an educational trip that young people need to witness and the social life is not too bad either. 🥂 There are some fabulous deals just now for next year.
