Ach bu**er. Spend years hunting for the perfect size Dutch barn then it destroys itself in the dismantling… Thankfully I wasn’t there and nobody got hurt.

Anyone else with a 30x 6m barn they don’t need please step forward.

Having smashed the panda and sold the horsebox I did promise not to spend money on impractical cars until the cabin has progressed.

So the roof is back together. And this custom aluminium fuel tank made by Foss fabrications is a thing of beauty. And this car would be much more practical if it ran. So this is the exception.

And having at least one fun project underway is therapeutic 😀

An update on the Beavers.

The beavers that went into our wetland back in October have spread out and are now spending much of their time on the river below the loghouse. They are not building anything of any consequence but making themselves at home and making short work of the willows. It's going to be interesting to see how those trees coppice come the spring, whether they behave differently for being gnawed to if they had been taken down with a saw. The beavers are wandering off and exploring but there's lots for them to eat here and they seem to be returning to the same spot every day.

If you are staying here take a wander down the beach and you cant miss the signs. At dusk you will probably hear them chomping before you see them.
