The mint is buzzing with bees this evening…
This oak cabin frame is quite a thing…
Fleet update…
At 4 miles short of 100k the P38 pulled another classic Range Rover escalation. The first job was to sort the wayward steering with some new radius arm bushes but then the coolant emptied itself into the carpet and pretty much everything forward of the seats now has to come out to fit a new heater matrix…
Meanwhile the murdered out mega mile panda 100hp is back in play. The shoddy welding has been done properly, it got engine and gearbox mounts, wishbones, brakes, a set of slightly bigger tyres, the exhaust was put right and then it had an alignment. It surely cost more than it’s worth but it’s back to being a wee ripper.
It was a fair trek down to @fettle_finesse in Leicestershire to get the work done but well worth it. Laurence is the guru on these cars and figured out exactly what to fix or improve or forget to get it how I want it. He does other retro fun cars, not just pandas, and his work is excellent. We clocked 160k on the way north, not bad for a tiny Italian that demands to be spanked at all times.

That was a whole lot of fun!
Fantastic food from @thefodderation, tunes from @brassgumbo and @shakalovesyou plus our fine and ramshackle collection of bluegrassers all@in the company of so many folk I have had the pleasure of getting to know all through my time here at inshriach…
Congratulations to @owen_obi and @zoelilbridge you completely smashed it!
That’s the third of the 4 oak trusses constructed for the new cabin. We are aiming to build one more truss next week (then we have 2 weeks to concentrate on the kids, host a big wedding and fix a bunch of other stuff) followed by 2 weeks more carpentry on the wall plates and bedroom frame, then she ought to be ready to go up…
Oak truss no 2 comes together. We are down to 3 days construction time per truss. Give it 3 weeks and this whole frame will be ready to put up

These wee guys are like a doorbell to the bottling room.
A lovely day to be invited out on the Spey looking for signs of beavers.
I’m delighted to confirm that beavers have definitely been chomping some inshriach willow for the first time in 400 years and if they could now get on and do something constructive in our wetland that would be much appreciated…
