Following very encouraging fuel trials, shipping container and rail freight specialists, Newell & Wright Group, have taken delivery of 6️⃣ stunning new DAFs. 🚛

The new XG 450 three-axle tractor units have improved the company's fuel economy by almost 20% and continue to impress them as time goes on. ⛽

The Direct Vision Standard (DVS) scheme requires all heavy goods vehicles over 12t to have a valid Safety Permit to enter or operate in Greater London. The scheme was created by Transport for London (TFL) to improve safety for all road users, including pedestrians, cyclists & motorcyclists.

To support operators’ applications for a DVS safety permit, DAF provides TFL with the ratings of all DAF trucks first registered in the UK. However, if your DAF truck is not available on the TFL database you can create a Direct Vision Star Rating Certificate using this certificate generator: https://www.daf.co.uk/en-gb/daf-services/driver-services/direct-vision-standard
