We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Finance Controller to head up our Accounts Department at our Head Office in Aylesbury, Bucks. As part of the role, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting-related activities within the business.

As part of your role your duties will include:

⭐️ Heading up a small team of 2

⭐️Weekly cash flow report for management

⭐️Production of monthly management accounts which included balance sheet & profit and loss account

⭐️Variance analysis for the monthly board report

⭐️Journal preparation of accruals, prepayments, stocks, cash books, wages and depreciation

⭐️Supplier contract reviews and monitoring

⭐️Preparation and submission of the monthly VAT returns

⭐️Weekly and monthly payroll processing

⭐️Running month supplier payments

⭐️ Checking bank reconciliations agreed within the department

⭐️Maintenance of Fixed Asset register

⭐️Reconciliation of HP register

⭐️Ad hoc analysis and preparation of figures for management and directors

⭐️Full Balance sheet reconciliations.

⭐️Building the company’s budget from bottom up for sign off at board

⭐️Providing finance data for KPI’s

⭐️Governance of Purchase Orders and authority limits

‼️This is a Full Time role and applicants must have Sage experience, an advanced level of IT literacy (including Word & Excel) and experience of VAT/PAYE

⭐️Ensuring coaches are fuelled before a job.

⭐️Reporting any issues with the working order of a coach to the Technician Department

⭐️Maintain the tidiness and working order of the yard at our Head Office

⏰ This is a flexible working role, averaging 40-45 hours in a typical week, inclusive of weekends ⏰
