We have upgraded our Car Charging Point to a Voltshare Charger. An electric car visited over Christmas and he was delighted with how easy it was to use.

There are lots of events on near Churchdale next weekend, Saturday,16th and Sunday, 17th November. At Chatsworth House there is a Christmas Market in the grounds, in Bakewell it is the Bakewell Christmas Market Weekend and at Haddon Hall they are hosting a Mercatum Christmas Market. All within 5 miles, so why not book a short break with us and start your Christmas shopping.

The annual Ashford-in-the-Water Well Dressing Festival starts on Saturday 25th May and lasts until 2nd June. There is still some availability at Holidays, so why not book now and enjoy the village festival.

We have a late availability in Derwent Cottage, sleeping 4 for this coming week, starting on 26th April. As this is last minute a 20% discount is offered. Spring is in the air and the lambs are running round the fields. Short breaks are available starting on either Fridays or Mondays.

Last night we went to the opening of The Ashford Arms The pub has stood empty for a long time and after months of renovation has re-opened and it is stunning. Great interiors, helpful staff and we ate tasty canapes. Only a mile away from Churchdale it will be a great additional attraction for all our guests - it is open for breakfast, coffee, lunch, snacks, drinks and dinner. Well done to Rob.

Just had morning walk through the fields to Ashford and then went to Rafters at The Riverside Hotel for a delicious brunch. Their brunch menu is new for 2024 and this is a new local experience which we hope our guests to enjoy.
