Hello, we are Cottage Team - so-named because we ONLY look after Peak District holiday cottages.

Getting a holiday cottage ready takes a bit of organising - it requires seamless integration of the cleaning, laundry, supplies, maintenance, guest welcome and 24/7 support on a reliable basis - and we do that. And for those that want to get more bookings or be more hands off themselves, we have a team to help with marketing and managing the whole booking process for you.

We have teams of in-house permanent staff, systems, equipment and a clear process for making sure that each guests' holiday is as smooth as possible. We are one business, trading for 25 years, and have three brands:

Do you like wonky pictures? Crumbs under the sofa? Hairs left in the shower? Lights broken? If so, this one might not be for you!

Cottage Team is the largest full-service holiday cottage management company in the Peak District. We are looking to recruit 3 new housekeepers to join us as demand for our services continues to grow. All the jobs are permanent, but you
can work on a full or part time basis, provided you can be flexible on the days you work - which will include some weekends and Bank Holidays.

Your responsibilities will include cleaning and dressing the cottages ready for guests. You will also notice and report on damage, missing items and property left by guests. We have a structured process which will help you with this. You do need to be a confident reader and record keeper. You don't need to be an experienced housekeeper to join us - but you’ll need to be highly organised and have a great eye for detail. It’s also important that you really care about our guests' experience and you’ll want to work hard to
achieve our company goals.

These jobs will be based in Sheffield and involve daily travel to and around the Peak District, using one of our company vehicles, so a clean driving licence is important. We can offer progression from team members to senior housekeepers. We offer:

Peak Laundry from Cottage Team are a specialist laundry serving holiday cottage owners in the Peak District. Our clients use us again and again because, as well as having beautifully clean and fresh laundry, they also receive 5-star service as standard.

Your laundry is washed separately, ironed or pressed to a crisp finish, folded and bagged by hand to check your laundry is properly cleaned. We bag all our linens and towels by sets, making your changeover a little bit easier. Our prices include collection from and return to your Peak District holiday cottage or another nearby location.

Oh, and we nearly forgot, the company behind Cottage Team was formed. There is new fire safety guidance from the Home Office - ‘Guide to making your small paying guest accommodation safe from fire’ ("The Guide") - which comes into force on 1 October 2023.

The Fire Safety Order 2005 (FSO) has not fundamentally changed. As such, the new guidance is not a significant change from the existing guidance – Do You Have Paying Guests? We anticipate that many holiday cottages will require work to meet the requirements outlined in the new guidance document. October may seem a long way off, but we would suggest you start work on this as soon as you can.

Since starting in the 20s, the Royal British Legion poppy appeal has raised hundreds of millions of pounds for serving and ex-serving members of the British Armed Forces and their families. For generations, the red poppy has been a symbol of respect and remembrance for those lost during war - not only in the First and Second World Wars, but all wars since then.

Money made from purchases of Poppies goes to helping members of the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, and their families. The money is for those still serving and those who previously served in any war where the UK has been involved - not just the first two World Wars. Support created by the funds goes to expert advice and guidance, recovery and rehabilitation, and transitioning back into civilian life for those who have served.

We are doing our small bit to support this years appeal - we have car poppies on our vehicles and through our Amazon Smile account, making donations of 0.5% on our purchases.

We are looking for a Senior Laundry Assistant to join our growing Peak District holiday cottage management business based in Sheffield. You need to have experience working in a commercial laundry servicing multiple customers.

The benefits we offer are:

Testing, Testing, Testing .........

It may look clean but how do you know it is actually germ and virus free? Testing of course!

So, as an additional procedure, after our enhanced cleaning process is completed, we will use a Hygiena luminometer (in conjunction with ATP swabs) to detect residual ATP as an indicator of cleanliness.

This test is conducted in the cottage with almost instant results, and we will only make cottages available for check-in when they pass the test.

COVID-19 - KEEPING GUESTS SAFE

Cottage Team has always operated to the highest cleaning standards. We employ rigorous cleaning protocols across all our cottages and whilst operating under the shadow of COVID-19 we have raised these standards to even higher levels.

We are now using ULV fogging to disinfect the cottages and have introduced ATP Swab Testing as standard too:

ULV Fogging: We will be disinfected using a ULV fogging technique – developed for hospital operating theatres – this process atomises a super strength disinfectant solution into a fine mist and creates a complete cloud of disinfecting microscopic droplets. The droplets enter the atmosphere of the whole room being cleansed and help sanitise every aspect of the area, walls, ceilings, floors, furniture, soft furnishings and surfaces. The disinfecting mist gets into every area, and parts that normal cleaning could never reach.

ATP Swab Testing:As an additional procedure, after the cleaning process is completed, we will use a Hygiena luminometer (in conjunction with ATP swabs) to detect residual ATP as an indicator of surface cleanliness. We are not aware of any other self-catering holiday cottage company in the Peak District offering this level of hygiene and cleanliness as standard.

As the largest full-service holiday cottage management business in the Peak District, we are looking for two Senior Mobile Housekeepers who are reliable,have good attention to detail, and the ability to drive through standards consistently, to join us.

Experience as a housekeeper is essential, ideally at holiday cottages, but will consider hotel, domestic and commercial cleans as full training will be given.

The successful candidates must also have a clean, full, driving licence to use our company vehicles, as the jobs involve travel between our cottages across the Peak District.

We are a 7 day a week business and our staff need to be able to work both weekdays and weekends as required. The times when work is done is variable from a 7.30am start to a 5pm finish, though not necessarily all that time, and can be later if there is a late start. The job is full-time and we expect the successful candidate to be offered 35 hours per week with more hours available for experienced Housekeepers.

Pay is £8.50/hour plus performance bonus.

As the largest full-service holiday cottage management business in the Peak District, we are looking for a Gardener who is reliable, hard-working and with good attention to detail, to join our team.

Experience preferred, but not essential as full training will be given to use petrol powered equipment. The job mainly involves mowing & strimming lawns, trimming hedges & weeding borders. The successful candidate must be well presented and have a good customer service ethos. The candidate must also have a clean, full, driving licence to use our company vehicles, as the job involves travel between our cottages across the Peak District.

We are a 7 day a week,no smoking, business and our staff need to be able to work both weekdays and weekends as required. The times when work is done is variable from a 7.30am start to a 5pm finish, though not necessarily all that time, and can be later if there is a late start.The job is part-time and we expect the successful candidate to be offered 10-15 hours per week but more hours may be available. The job is temporary during the growing season, but other tasks may be available for the right candidate into the autumn.
