The Arenig garden is a beautiful sunny space to enjoy with friends and family. A brick bbq and a large table big enough for all guests to sit around. No better place to sit back and relax after a busy day 🪴

The outside area for Tegid cottage is beautiful. Plenty of space for the kids to play, a brick bbq and a lovely setting to sit out and enjoy the views ⛰

Cyffdy Cottage - Arenig
Our third and final cottage all ready to welcome back guests again. This cottage sleeps 6 with a double room, twin room and bunk beds. It has a large lounge with log burner and a beautiful new kitchen. A great cottage to relax and enjoy your time away in 🏠

After another week’s hard work the Arenig cottage kitchen renovation is now all complete and ready for our first guests tomorrow.

Here we are on the last day of 2020, what a different year it’s been. We haven’t been able to have as many guests through our doors as we would of liked but on the plus side it has given us as a family time to enjoy Cyffdy for all its beauty. Fingers crossed 2021 will be better and we can open our doors and welcome you all back to enjoy these gorgeous views as soon as possible. Happy New Year to you all - Blwyddyn Newydd Dda 🥂❄️🎉

We’re keeping busy in isolation here at Cyffdy and getting some bbq’s built in each cottage ready for our guests to arrive back. We used some reclaimed bricks we found in the barn. We cant wait to smell the amazing food cooking away on the new bbq’s 🥩🍗🍴

As of Monday Cyffdy Cottages will be closed to guests for the next few months at least. We have made this decision to protect our family, friends and local community. This is what is important to us.
Yes its going to be a very hard few months for us all but this was the right decision for us as a family who live next door to the cottages.
We hope all our guests who had booked change their dates and come back to visit us later on in the year or in 2021.
We hope that all our friends, family and neighbours stay safe and get through these tough times and look forward to being able to welcome guests back to Cyffdy in the near future.
Sykes Holiday Cottages were not much help to us at all when we spoke to them about closing the cottages. They even said that some charges might be passed back on to us for the guest cancellations. The way they have dealt with this current situation has seriously made us question whether we continue with them in the future. We will have to wait and see. Any tips on going it alone would be appreciated 💞

Beautiful views of the Aran mountain from the shores of Bala lake today. Isn’t this weather amazing. Lots of fun water activities for all the family to be done on Bala Lake. E.g. Kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing. With this nice weather too the water is lovely and warm and great for a swim ☀️🏊🏼‍♀️🚣🏽‍♂️🏔
