📅 Save the Date! The Exclusively Highlands Art, Craft, Food, and Drink Market returns to Balmoral on October 4th and 5th. Join us for free entry between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM on both days.

After a well-attended (albeit rather rainy) event last year, we're excited to welcome back exhibitors from near and far, showcasing a wide variety of the finest Scottish crafts, food, and drink.

Friends living or visiting Ballater this is a fabulous opportunity to see friend and talented local artist Jane at work.

I am so delighted to tell you I will be at the stunning Fife Arms in Braemar this coming Monday August 26th to celebrate International pet day.

I am honoured to be the artist in residence for the day and I will be working on a pet portrait within the lobby of the hotel.

I would be delighted to see you and talk through my creative process and perhaps you would like to have a go too?

I would also be delighted to discuss personalised commissions with you for a wonderful heartfelt gift and also perhaps to celebrate and remember the unconditional love of our pets who hold such special places in our hearts.

The grounds, gardens, and exhibitions at Balmoral are now closed to the public.

Thank you to everyone who visited the castle and estate throughout 2024, contributing to yet another unforgettable season. From the historic opening of the castle doors for interior guided tours and the launch of our new restaurant, to outdoor theatre and cinema performances, it has been a remarkable year.

Tomorrow, we will once again re-open to the public, inviting you to experience the beauty and history of Balmoral Castle & Estate, the celebrated Highland home of the Royal Family.

This year, the grounds, gardens, exhibitions, Mews Gift Shop, and Cafe will be open to the public daily from 10:00 to 17:00, starting from Saturday, May 4th, until Sunday, August 11th.

In the Castle Ballroom, visitors can admire a specially curated collection of 22 watercolours painted by His Majesty The King, depicting scenes from Balmoral, Birkhall, Sandringham, and Highgrove.

Additionally, a collection of outfits worn by Their Majesties King Charles and Queen Camilla, Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth, and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother will be on display.

Adult, child, and family tickets are available with an audio-guided tour, a squirrel challenge for younger visitors, and access to the Capercaillie and Warrant Holders exhibition included in the ticket.

Paid parking is available in the car parks, located next to the A93 at Crathie.
