Creating a team to support 200+ youth clubs in Ukraine
The extensive ministry of teen clubs requires YFC’s quality coordination and support by resources, trainings, contacts. But today more than 200 clubs are coordinated by only 1 YFC staff worker. It’s not enough for all Ukraine. There’s a need to raise a strong team to support this big ministry. Five best club leaders from Ukraine could dedicate their full time to clubs’ development.
Teen clubs ministry is the first and most effective ministry of YFC. God blessed it by abundant development – as of today, about 200 clubs from different churches throughout Ukraine reach out to more than 5000 teenagers every week. The results of this work is that every year about 1500 teenagers accept Christ and join local churches!
YFC in its turn is always trying to support this ministry by creating new resources every year, organising trainings, visiting and encouraging the clubs’ leaders.
On the other hand, the situation in the country forces many volunteers to work on several jobs to make ends meet, and they can’t really think about the ministry so much. Due to that YFC-Ukraine doesn’t have many dedicated people, who can be involved into ministering the clubs fulltime. At the moment, we have only one staff worker who’s trying to coordinate, support, motivate, provide for, visit, teach, create resources, meet all their needs and all the more to work on the development of new clubs. Without proper YFC support the clubs are most likely to be closed.
This project is aimed to create a team of 5 dedicated people, full-time staff workers with steady salary, who will spend all their time on development of the clubs.
The foundation of this project will be laid by all-Ukrainian conference for the clubs’ leaders, in order to encourage them during this difficult time in the country. We will teach them new approaches in working with youth, unite them closer into one movement, so that they won’t feel alienated. Also, through this event, we’ll be able to discover strong leaders, who having stable
Support post war & refugee corridor work in Bosnia
Grant Application from Croatia
Croatia and Bosnia used to be a part of the same country – Yugoslavia. They have been through the same war in the 1990s and are dealing with similar issues. Bosnia seems to be even worse off. YFC Croatia has long wanted to reach out and help the mission work in Bosnia. A team of dedicated missionaries has been working in Tuzla for many years via the young local church plant and the Wave Project ( www. wavecommunity.blogspot.com ), working in demanding and difficult circumstances and context – they are helping with the war aftermath, offer counseling and educational programs, work with abandoned and special needs children, help after natural disasters (flooding), and recently started helping along the nearby Syrian refugee corridor. The team in Tuzla needs help. In addition to hosting one of their missionaries in our hometown and helping raise funds for their work in 2016 here in Croatia, the YFC Croatia team would like to help the Tuzla team more in 2017. In coordination with the Tuzla team, we are planning on visiting them in the Spring 2017 – to help them for a week, strengthen our relationship with the team, and if possible also bless them with a surprise monetary gift. Thus, the funds we are asking for would be covering our trip and work in Bosnia, plus contain a monetary gift to help this dedicated and hard-working team that has been doing incredible self-sacrificial work in very demanding and difficult circumstances and context.

Hungary Grant Application
Grateful for the very first year of FFTN support, we find the need to send this application again. Even with our best efforts, the present base of our supporters has not radically changed.Finding supporters is still difficult. We trust that soon we will be able to run our ministry entirely from domestic funds. In the meantime, we must pay our staff and our bills, while carrying out our ministries.
Youth for Christ still operates in Hungary with two full-time paid staff members, one part-time and a number of other volunteers. We carry out our ministry in all parts of Hungary and the ethnic-Hungarian regions of the neighboring countries. In Hungary we have a unique freedom and opportunity to take the Gospel into the schools through different activities. Students can attend afternoon clubs and cultural programs, and they can also participate in special extracurricular activities. In our school mission we also depend on our volunteers from local churches to run the clubs as well.

GRANT APPLICATION: Starting a ministry to 100 teens in the war...
There is a war in eastern Ukraine, Stanytsia Luganska town is at the border with battlefront. There is a small new church, but no youth work, for there is neither youth minister no finances for it. But youth around are frightened, desperate, apathetic. We must send a missionary there who will continuously work with 100 youth: encourage them, give hope, bring them Christ.
Two regions of Ukraine are covered by the war. In town at the border has a small church with one permanent minister. He simply can’t to do all the work! The need is too great: all local people and the military! There are Sunday services, prayer and women groups, but there is no ""extra hands"" and finances for youth ministry.
Not all families have left the town. There are many young people there and in villages around. These teenagers are living under constant stress, shelling, hunger, lack of clothing, the constant threat of death, slow but sure social, mental and psychic degradation. The territory is regularly shelled, families often sit in basements. There is no public transportation, no heating, no permanent electricity. Because of a ban on large gatherings a minister should drive around a lot and gather youth in small groups. Last summer local youth was taken to camps in peaceful regions of Ukraine. But without further work the prepared ground of their hearts will be overgrown by weeds.
Without constant financial support the work in this area goes very slowly + youth minister will be a missionary from other region of Ukraine. We have candidates. Thus, this project aims to support the missionary, his/her activity, gasoline and supplies for youth meetings. He/she will be traveling to the neighboring towns/villages and lead spiritual, social and educational work with young people. More than 100 teenagers will be covered by ongoing work and God's care. 2-3 youth clubs or care centres will be opened. Teenagers will get spiritual growth and deep talks on vital topics such as delinquency prevention,

Since my personal car, that we used for ministry is old, with a lot of kilometers and in bad shape and we do not have a ministry car, there is the need to do necessary steps to purchase it as soon as possible. We are already in process to do fundraising, saving personal money and we hope we will be able to cover a portion of the cost by donation money.

Sweden- Reaching out to immigrant teenage girls
Being a teenage girl is a challenge by itself, let alone coming from a different culture trying to fit into a seculiazed society. YFC Sweden wants to spearhead a national movement by providing the churches with the Superwoman material (published by YFC Netherlands) in order to give hope and salvation to young girls.
Superwoman is a methodic two-year material for 12-17 year old girls. The program focuses on the development of girls who need help navigating through their teenage years.
Super-Woman consists of 34 sessions and covers four themes:
Self-image / self-esteem
Social environment
Talent development and social awareness
Physical and sexual development.
Sweden is a highly secularized country with a high number of immigrants. In this culture young immigrant girls are especially exposed as they often are secluded from society and mixed gender groups.
The Superwoman material will become a great resource for churches to meet this situation and reach out to both an extremely secularized Swedish community (the general Swedish population) and also an overly traditional (immigrant) community. YFC Sweden desires to translate and make Superwoman available in Swedish on their church resource webpage alongside material such as Rock Solid and Alive. It will be available free of charge as all other materials produced by YFC Sweden all to make sure it will be spread and used as much as possible.

YFC Sicily Hope Community Outreach & Training Center
In 2017 the Hope Community Outreach & Training Center will open its doors to Palermo’s university students and other young people. We are seeking funding for paint, furniture, decorations, and media equipment that will help us create a welcoming atmosphere where young people who have lost hope can discover God’s hope and community through workshops, Bible studies, and one-on-one interaction.
Having worked with many young people in Palermo over the years, we’ve had the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of their needs:
COMMUNITY. Many students are far from home. Many of them feel alone and have difficulty in developing significant relationships. Many students face difficult family situations. We want Hope Community to be a place where they can spend time and feel welcome and heard. We’re convinced that this could help many young people live this phase of their lives to the full.
HOPE. We want to share the the hope of the gospel with young people. We want to tell them that God created them and that, regardless of life’s difficulties and the evil that exists in the world, there is great hope in Jesus and in His message; everything will be perfect in eternity! We want to show them that we believe in them and encourage them to use their gifts and talents to glorify God and make a difference in society.
TRAINING. Sicily and Italy as a whole have a great need for youth-workers. We know many young Christians who desire to be disciples and serve Christ, but they aren’t equipped to do so. We believe that offering training, using YFC curriculum and resources, will produce good short and long-term results that will benefit many churches.

Loving Vulnerable Teens Well - 2017 Grant Application
Many youth missionaries have a heart for young people who are vulnerable to risks such as addictions, mental illness, sexual exploitation, or homelessness, yet they feel overwhelmed at the thought of stepping into these issues. This project will equip youth missionaries & volunteers with accessible, practical resources for coming alongside teens in pain and walking with them toward Jesus.
Those who dare to step into the lives of teens are a brave lot! But doing so with vulnerable youth can be daunting for many. Although Canadian youth missionaries may have greater potential access to financial resources, we have a great lack in the area of faith-based training resources – especially those aimed at understanding the complicated issues many vulnerable teens live with every day. Being able to come alongside struggling teens in the middle of these issues often makes space for the gospel in unexpected and beautiful ways.
As a program of Vancouver YFC, Lifeteams has operated a youth ministry training school for the past 16 years. In the past 4 years we have begun developing online resources, making content from our training school available to YFC staff/volunteers and others across the country. And the response has been overwhelming! We now produce and send out short training videos monthly to a list of almost 1,000 youth workers and provided seminars for over 2,200 this year.
With the vastness of Canada, many YFC & church workers are quite geographically removed from access to training events and support. Online resources allow these workers to gain competence and confidence without the cost. Over the next year we’d like to increase the scope, visibility and accessibility of resources to equip as many as possible. This includes creating 3 issue-focused video packages and 5 short French language training videos along with accompanying helpsheets. Then we will focus on increasing our online reach for distribution of all our free resources to as many as possible. Lastly
