On Friday I’m heading up to Manchester, ready for the Annual Travel Counsellor’s Conference!

It’s our 30th Birthday! I have attended every conference since I joined in 2011

I’m so looking forward to catching up with our amazing suppliers, Head Office team and of course, my fellow TCs.

The weekend promises to be packed with inspirational speakers and star studded entertainment. Vernon Kay is going to be hosting again this year! Can’t wait!!

We wrapped up our trip to Thailand joining in the Loy Krathong Festival that honors the goddess of water, Phra Mae Khongkha, and celebrates new beginnings. The festival is also known as the "Festival of Lights" We made our Krathong using fresh flowers, incense sticks and candles and then floated them on the water. This was followed by a wonderful sound bath.

Krabi Sunset Cruises

We arrived in Thailand and had some time to explore Bangkok Old Town before heading on to Krabi.

We visited Wat Pho, known as the Temple of Reclining Buddha followed by a private long-tail boat cruise along the Chao Praya river and nearby canals. After soaking up the beautiful scenery from the water we headed on to Wat Arun, the Temple of the Dawn, this is one of Bangkok's most photographed locations and I now understand why !
In the afternoon we experienced the city like a local, using the subway, tuktuk’s and taxis. We began in Chinatown, where we discovered small shops and stalls hidden in the alleyways. Then on to the Pak Klong Talat, the Flower Market, which is open 24/7 and offers a wide variety of fresh flowers, food, and souvenirs.

I feel we have only scratched the surface of this city on this trip but the beach and some relaxation is calling, so we are now heading off to Krabi
