High Flyers Great Tew, have made beautiful lanterns for the upcoming light festival. The children have really enjoyed celebrating this festival and the team have done lots of activities with them. ☺️🥢🥠🇨🇳

The children have been celebrating the Chinese New Year, from colourful Play-Doh creations to snake-themed drawings (because it’s the Year of the Snake ☺️🐍), fun games, and even trying their hand at Chinese writing! ✍️🏮

The children have been busy creating, crafts, using their imaginations, and getting stuck into some brilliant activities. While they love playing outside, when it’s chilly, there’s nothing better than getting cosy indoors and letting them be creative. Here are just a few snapshots of what they’ve been up to this week.

Activities like these are fantastic for building confidence, improving motor skills, and letting children unwind after a busy day at school – all without being glued to a screen. We’re so proud of how engaged they are, and they always make the most of every moment!

This week at our after-school clubs, we’ve been exploring the fascinating world of teeth and learning how to care for them properly. The children have been enthusiastic and we’ve had a wonderful time discussing topics like the Tooth Fairy and the different types of teeth we have.

• Types of Teeth: We identified and named the various types of teeth, such as incisors, canines, premolars, and molars, understanding their unique functions.
• Proper Brushing Techniques: The children learned the importance of brushing their teeth twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, using the correct technique to ensure all surfaces are clean.
• Visiting the Dentist: We discussed the significance of regular dental check-ups and how visiting the dentist can help keep our teeth healthy. ( its free for all children )

Asking the children, ‘what do we do if the fire alarm goes off?’ The first answer we had………✈️☺️👏🏼 not quite the answer we were looking for ☺️❤️✈️ but he’s right!!!
