Another beautiful morning here ⛅️. Is this the calm before the storm? 🌧️
Remember when I shared this on my stories in June 2023? You can now watch David & Jays Touring Toolshed, visiting Portsoy and Cullen, on BBC IPlayer now.
The calm after this mornings thunderstorm ⛈️. View from the top of Number Forty’s Garden 🤍.
Dolphin spotting at Cullen 🐬
The sun is shining so nothing better than getting out for a stroll around Portsoy beach and harbours ☀️
Just a tad wild here today in the North East 💨. This video doesn’t do the size of the waves any justice. They are mahoosive 🌊
🚜 Christmas Tractor Run 🚜
This is the first year that they’ve done a xmas tractor run through Portsoy and surrounding towns. We actually thought we had just missed it in Portsoy (turns out we hadn’t) so we jumped in the truck and ran over to Sandend to catch it there 😆. Boys absolutely loved it and I really hope that they carry this on next Christmas 🎄.
❄️ Hello December ❄️
Number Forty Two is looking nice and festive for Christmas 🎄 . We have a busy month ahead and are nearly fully booked for December.
If you are looking to get away and relax before the big day, we have a 3 or 4 night stay ready to be snapped up visit https://abnb.me/1sF5OtTepvb
Not much blue skies this morning but it’s still so mild again today 🍂
Beautiful Scotland 🏴. A few little clips of our coastline in this video 🌊
The dolphins out playing in the bay this evening. Lots of sand eels on the go at the moment so they will be getting a good feed 🐬
It was such a beautiful calm evening last night. Sat and watched the dolphins enjoying the calm seas from Number Forty Twos’ garden. They are regular visitors to Portsoy and can often be seen playing in or passing the bay 🌊
Book your stay with us at Number Forty Two 🏡. We still have some short breaks available in August. https://abnb.me/ue1sHoD9Frb
Beautiful Findlater Castle 🏰. Situated between Sandend and Cullen and if you walk a bit further out you will come to the lovely secluded beach of Sunnyside 🏖.

We’ve had quite the flurry of bookings since our Airbnb went live 2 weeks ago and we couldn’t be more grateful. Lots of families bringing their parents back to the town they grew up in or around, families making a repeat visit to Portsoy because they love the area so much and families visiting the area for the first time. We even have a lady coming to stay who actually grew up in our own house on the same street 😊. We look forward to meeting all of our guests and hope that they all have a lovely time staying at Number Forty Two ☀️.
