Cuddle up and relax while the January weather changes and creates a little drama.

The worst days can create the best views.

Head West and again you will find lots to explore, more fishing villages and hidden gems for that instagram moments.

From another photographers favourite, Bow Fiddle Rock to Portsoy harbour where Peaky Blinders fans gan wander around scenes from season 6, or for the walkers and wanderers, park up at Sandend Beach and walk along the coast to Findlater Castle…. a must see spot, especially if drones are your thing.

This is another trip that can be packed into one day travelling no more than 30mins from our cabin.

End the trip at Portknockie with a highly recommended supper from the local fish and chip shop.

Head East from Rustic Hollow and within 10mins you could be exploring the picturesque coastal villages of Gardenstown, Crovie and Pennan.

The increasingly popular spots for traveler bloggers and photographers

Wander the beaches and small cottage paths, breathe in the sea air or better still take a swim, a sure way to revitalize the senses.

These are only a few of the hidden delights on our doorstep. The 3 villages can easily be done as a day trip, pack a picnic and off you go.
Gardenstown has a few local shops and a nice pub so be sure to nip in past for a drink.

The RSPB Trouphead nature reserve can also be accessed from Crovie. It is worth the walk if you are here.
