The Friends of Duff House have announced details of their forthcoming exhibition: "General José de San Martín: South America and Banff"
This Exhibition at Duff House opens to the public on Friday 2nd August and complements the Exhibition already open at the Museum of Banff which celebrates the 200th Anniversary of General Jose de San Martin's Freeman Honour in the Royal Burgh of Banff.
The exhibition incorporates pictures by a renowned contemporary South American artist, further information, and the results of recent researches into Banff in 1824 including how the Liberator travelled to Banff a full 200 years ago and where he stayed.
The Friends of Duff House have been partnered by the British San Martin Institute in arranging this Exhibition, and thank the cooperation of so many people in putting it together.
Entry is incorporated into normal Duff House entry, or you can visit just the Exhibition on a £5 ticket payable at the desk on arrival.
Duff House is now "free flow" access (ie not limited to guided tours), Thurs to Sun inclusive, 10am to noon, and 1pm to 4.30pm.
A free-of-charge summary booklet of the Exhibition is available for visitors.
