March & April are lovely months up at Sandend. The sun has some warmth and the daffodils and gorse are in bloom.

Himself is up on a maintenance trip, jetwashing, painting and gardening ahead of the new season starting. He promises me he is working hard enough to earn his lunch breaks 😄.

It’s also not the only work underway, the Glassaugh steps at the end of the beach up to the cliff path have been gradually eroding so thanks to Coastal Communities funding they are being replaced. A much needed improvement.

Beach Cottage is dog friendly. We accept one dog (sometimes two - please ask). We’ve a fenced garden, an outside tap with hose to act as a doggie shower, an extra large crate (if you use one), we provide poo bags and a treat and have spare bowls and dog towels if you forget yours. And we have a dog friendly beach literally right on the doorstep. This is Ballo’s favourite place!

Beach Cottage also sleeps 4 humans. Based in the tiny historic fishing village of Sandend on the Aberdeenshire coast, we reckon we’ve got one of the best views of a beachfront holiday cottage in Scotland.
