‘Do Your Bit’ is my way of living and promoting a zero waste lifestyle by eliminating the use of plastic that ends up in landfills every single day. My locally run reusable bag company aims to put an end to the excessive amount of packaging we find in shops and supermarkets like Tesco or Dunnes which make its way into our homes. The goal is to focus on package-free items which produce zero waste.
From fruits and veg to bread or nuts or to be used for lunch or shopping, you can use these bags any way you wish. How many times have you gone to do the weekly shop, arrived at the cash and realized you forgot your bags (yet again)? And how many times have you bought another bag for 5p and told yourself you wouldn’t forget them next time? Yet they still seem to accumulate in our drawers at home over time. Face it - We live in a word where everything is plastic wrapped in a box which is also plastic wrapped. My hope is that these bags will help you do your bit in reducing the environmental impact every single day. I moved to Northern Ireland from Canada two years ago and it came as a shock to me how few options there are here when it comes to zero waste consumption. Basically, this is my way of trying to create change. So next time, when you visit a shop don’t opt for a plastic bag but instead use my washable reusable zero waste bags and help create the change with me.
