Caroline Cottage (dog friendly) a beautiful stone built cottage built is situated in the small quaint village of Romaldkirk, set right in the heart of the area of Teesdale.The small village is also home to two public houses only a minutes walk from the cottage.Ideal location to visit England's highest waterfall High Force, Bowes Museum, Raby Castle, Barnard Castle, Richmond, Durham and Hamsterely

Forest.This area is a walkers paradise with many of the Teesdale walks starting from the village.So whether you want to spend your holiday sight seeing, cycling, walking, pony riding, bargain hunting in the local markets, visiting village fetes or simply relaxing, snuggle up after a great day out in a warm cosy cottage in front of the log burning stove

This weeks guests had a real treat today at Caroline Cottage. Beamish trails had set up their checkpoint on the village green. Lots of vintage cars and bikes in the village, and the sun shone too! 🌞

This lovely coaching inn is a 2 minute walk from Caroline Cottage and seems to be very popular with our guests. We thought we would try Sunday lunch here, we can see why our guests highly rate this lovely dog friendly place!!!

Large 2 bedroom cottage situated in the picturesque village of Romaldkirk, nestled between the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the North Pennines area of outstanding natural beauty.
Sleeping 4 people, Caroline cottage is a traditional dales cottage situated in Teesdale an area of outstanding natural beauty. The cottage over looks the quiet village green where you will see the old stocks and water pump.
Romaldkirk has two dog friendly pubs a few minutes walk from the door, one of which is an award winning coaching inn serving fabulous food. There is also a quaint little tea room in the village serving a variety of dishes including delicious cakes.
Fantastic scenic walks direct from the door, it’s also a great location for cycling and exploring the historical towns of Barnard Castle and Richmond.
Only a short drive from the door you will find High Force waterfall, Raby Castle, Eggleston Gardens, Bowes Museum and Eggleston Abbey.
In Caroline Cottage you will find a Log burner in lounge, separate dining room, fully fitted kitchen, small courtyard with seating to rear which is fully enclosed and lockable (ideal for storing bikes). 2 bedrooms, one with Kingsize bed and the other set as a single or a twin. Bathroom with wc, bath and shower.
Max 2 dogs very welcome here!
