INTRODUCTION TO W S HODGSON & CO LTD

In 1906, two local craftsmen responded to farmers demands for small to medium sized agricultural buildings. They had to be manufactured from seasoned timber, to with stand the weather, easily transportable and constructable.

That’s was how William Hodgson and his son Alan (my great grandfather and grandfather) came to found the company, the formula for William success was deceptively simple - give your customer a good quality product at a very competitive price - that formula has been the key to our growth over the years and we see no reason to change it!

Moving forward to the late 1960’s my father Dennis and his sister Pamela took over the reins expanding the business and continued the design and manufacture of quality timber buildings.

By the late 1970’s the fourth generation, myself and my brothers Stephen and Shawn joined the company, with the invaluable help from our ‘adopted family’ our workforce, who are all trained in-house in every aspect of the business, some have been with us for over forty years!
