This time of year our meadows really do look like fields of gold . A wonderful attraction for bees and butterflies and even our resident fallow deer have been enjoying munching through the long grass.

We are so lucky to have an amazing local village shop and tea room less than 5 mins away. Stocked with lots of local supplies and all the basics you need. Serving breakfasts and lunches and not forgetting the wonderful cakes 😋😋. Not so sure our waistline will thank us for it though 😂

Stable has been treated to some lovely, new comfy sofas. With 4 x four seaters in the large lounge, it’s a great place to socialise with family and friends. Oh and the view isn’t too bad either! 😉😊🛋️

We have been very busy with improvements over the winter and spring. Here is just one of many! Harebell has a fab new downstairs wet room/shower room. Great for washing off after a dip in our swimming lake and that makes 4 bathrooms in total for Harebell - ideal for family groups

After some very wet and windy weather this week, it’s lovely to have some spring sunshine and it looks like it’s here to stay so it is time to debut our new fire pit area (with swing arm cooking grill for proper flame grilled bbq) and our new outdoor furniture. Great for outdoor dining for up to 12 people. All with stunning lakeside views. We are looking forward to summer! ☀️ 🍗 🍹

The pigs have been upgraded to a room with a view after a good job of grazing on our fields which will now become a sports area for football/cricket/rounders and will be ready just in time for the sunshine ☀️.

What a difference a few months makes! In August the lake was at the lowest level we had seen and the streams and waterfalls had dried up - not even a faint trickle! Now the lake is replenished and streams and waterfalls are full to bursting. They look so much prettier and healthier … but think we have had enough rain now thanks 🙏🏼😬

Trout restocking

Restocking the lake with rainbow and for the first time 'blue' trout. Previously they have been transferred to the lake by net, but the shute method is much quicker.
