Blue Bell walk.
Blue Bell walk today. OK I was walking but of course you'll be driving. This is the current drive up to our campsite entrance. Blue bells will only be around for about another week. Take note of the slate signs if you're due to visit our tranquil touring site.
If you're a lover of steam you will be pleased to hear that The Lynton to Barnstaple steam railway is just a short drive away. They do some of the best cream teas too! Dogs are welcome. Whilst over that way drive on to and park up at Lynton and Lynmouth. We can guarantee it will take your breath away. Our small campsite is now taking bookings for the 2022 season #steamrailway #lynton
Babbling Brook at Devon Banks Campsite
Apparently this is the best way to tire out a spaniel whilst keeping cool on a hot day here at Devon Banks campsite. Lots of dogs enjoy playing in the Babbling Brook when they come to stay with us :-)
A herd of Red Deer on the hillside opposite the hard standing pitches
We often see this herd of deer up on the hillside (you can see this same view from the hard standing pitches), but this time I managed to video them using my new zoom lense attached to my mobile phone.
I will put a photo in the comments of how this scene looks just zooming in on my phone, the difference in magnification is amazing.
So don't forget to bring your binoculars with you if you are coming to stay on our campsite this summer, you never know what you might see.
