Together we have raised over £5000 for St Mary's Hospice in donations. And as you are aware I am Trekking to Everest Base Camp which is all paid for out of my own money, totally seperate from donations. The tours have cost me a lot of time and money out of my own pocket but it was well worth it to raise money for the hospice and meet new like minded friends. The rain held off for our South Lakes Tour today. Couldn’t see Isle Of Man or some of the peaks in the Lake District but the trails were good and the views still great.

Had a great day out today with Timeless Overland around the lakes. Did a few lanes I haven’t done before, a few in different directions and some I last did on a bike 20 years ago. Thanks very much.

Today wasn’t really suitable for 22” rims and road tyres and there was some small branches, twigs and bush contact but no major concerns. A few tight spots for a New Defender but all doable.

Meeting at the Chain Bridge hotel on the outskirts of Llangollen for 9.00am to sign in and a short briefing, we leave for the trails at 9.30am. Saturday lunch is at Bala and our overnight stop on the Saturday night is on the coast at Aberdovey. After a hard day driving in the Welsh mountains the guests can then relax in the friendly surroundings of the Britannia Inn where we have a meal together (price not included) before taking to their beds at leisure. At 9.15am on Sunday morning we go straight into the lanes and head for Macchynclyth then overland towards Nant-y-Moch reservoir, Devils Bridge and Ponterwyd, lunch will be at a Forestry visitors centres before finishing near Llangurig around 4.00pm.
