A couple of years ago I was asked to provide some children’s workshops for Barrow BID to help attract more people into Barrow town centre during the summer holidays. As this was something we’d already done from time to time in between running furniture painting workshops for adults we happily agreed. And there it began....
As with most town centres, Barrow is rapidly changing with less people visiting to shop as our busy lives lead us to the convenience of online shopping which is quick and easy without the need for us to leave home or work. With this in mind, here at Rebel we’ve been coming up with different ways to offer a service to our customers and this year (2019) we’re on a mission to get Rebels of all ages to enjoy more ‘Me’ time and get creative with us!
For our Little Rebels in particular we’ll be carrying on with our popular Saturday Workshops and School Holiday Workshops too. Weekends finds us also very busy lately being host to some lovely Little Rebel Birthday Parties! During the school term you’ll even find us popping up at different primary schools around the town where we take our workshops to them for some after school fun and creativity. If you’re a teacher or would like us to maybe visit your childs’ school why not ask them to get in touch with us?!
Whatever’s happening in our lives we all need a bit of time to forget what’s going on and just relax into a creative world where we can paint, create and throw glitter around, we never judge anyone on how good (or bad) they think they are here at Rebel, we just want to help get everyone’s imaginations going, even for a short time, and watch them have fun!
