Mad Max Tours

Mad Max Tours www.madmaxtours.co.uk We have been running our small friendly tours since 1991 and have lots of experience.

We give you plenty of time at each stop for you to get off and see everything for yourself - the views don't just flash past your window! We only use local guides so you get the benefit of their specialist knowledge and local detail. Our tours are small and relaxed - the majority of our tours only take 16 people so we offer a small personal tour, where we have time to listen to your questions. We operate throughout the year, weekends and most public holidays

Flint played a huge part in our ancient history.

Used for tools, it enabled us to build.

Maddy can’t help herself and discovered some on a Winter's walk along the beach. Watch this space she is going on a flint knapping course soon…. look out for her arrow heads!

Wool played a major role in shaping the history of the Cotswolds. This picturesque region owes much of its charm and prosperity to the wool trade, which flourished during medieval times.

Maddy is currently learning the traditional craft of spinning wool! It’s a hands-on way to connect with the rich history of the area and appreciate the artistry behind it.

Our tour meeting point is central, meaning we can get touring as quickly as possible!

We are often asked “Can you pick us up from our hotel?”

Due to the heavy congestion in Bath city centre, we don’t collect from individual guesthouses or hotels. However, our central meeting point is conveniently located and within easy walking distance of most accommodations in Bath.

We understand that accessibility is important. If you have mobility issues, let us know in advance, and we’ll happily make special arrangements to ensure your journey starts as smoothly as possible.

Your adventure with us is designed to be hassle-free, so you can focus on exploring the incredible sights waiting for you!

Our Story

We have been running our small, friendly tours since 1991. We are proud to have been awarded the Tripadvisor ‘Certificate of Excellence’ for 6 consecutive years, received a ‘Highly Commended’ by Somerset Business Tourism and are recommended by travel writer Rick Steves. Each tour is planned with care to give you plenty of time at each stop, making the most of the stunning countryside on the way and taking the best routes to avoid traffic. We only use local guides who are passionate about the area, history and places we visit, and who offer specialist knowledge as well as local detail. Our tours are small and relaxed - our comfortable mini coaches take a maximum of 16 people, are air conditioned and have seat belts and a p.a. system.

We operate all year, weekends and public holidays (except Christmas Day).
