Our Locala Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) work with children aged 0-18 years who have communication and/or feeding and swallowing difficulties. These children may experience difficulties in the following areas:

Being able to listen and pay attention
Understanding words and instructions
Talking in words and sentences
Difficulties with pronunciation of speech sounds
Social communication and

interaction
Stammering
Eating, drinking & swallowing
Our SLT team provides assessment and advice within each of these areas. There are many reasons why children may have such difficulties and they can be as a result of language disorders, speech sound difficulties, learning disabilities, developmental or biomedical conditions, stammering, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), hearing impairment and physical difficulties.
