Grade II listed character cottage in the small market town of Beaminster, West Dorset.

You have the best of both worlds with this picture perfect cottage where a good selection of independent shops, cafés and award winning restaurants close by. Surrounded by rolling hills, Beaminster is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and features in Thomas Hardy’s Tess of the d'Urbervilles as ”Emminster" in the fictional Wessex. The cottage has been tastefully decorated with Farrow and

Ball colours and has original flagstone flooring downstairs with carpet upstairs. Consisting of two good sized double bedrooms and one single, a sitting room with wood burning stove, a small but well equipped kitchen, separate dinning room with study area and a newly fitted ground floor bathroom. At the rear is a good sized sunny cottage garden with a summer house and seating for alfresco dinning.

One of the best things about late August is the burst of vibrant sunflowers 🌻! We’re lucky to have two gorgeous sunflower farms near Blackbird Cottage. Visit near Bridport until 26th August, or head to near Dorchester until the end of the month. Plus, don’t miss out on their sunflower photography competition with a £1,000 prize! 📸

Just visited the stunning in Dorset! 🌿 The Hydrangeas are in full bloom—so beautiful this time of year. Also, I’m in love with the steps leading down from the Lily pond, lined with gorgeous Mediterranean plants. Such a magical spot! 🌸

The herb bed at the back of Blackbird Cottage is thriving! 🌿 Filled with culinary favourites like Thyme, Mint, Rosemary, Chives, Curry Plant, and Lavender. It’s the perfect spot to relax— the scent in the summer heat is simply divine.

Every time I pass this tree on the way up to Gerard’s Hill, I'm amazed at how it survives despite being mostly hollow at the base. 🌳 Gerard’s Hill offers stunning panoramic views of Beaminster, the surrounding countryside, and the coastline on a clear day.
