Backed by one of the largest areas of dunes in the British Isles, beach is located less than 20 miles south-east of HPB Henllys. The area behind the beach, also known as Warren, is a nature reserve rich in avifauna and other wildlife, which thrive on the nearby mudflats. There are plenty of footpaths through the nature reserve and Newborough Forest, planted between the 40's and 60's as a means of protecting the village from drifting sand while helping to stabilise the dunes. 🌊
