After a 3 week break from competitions, this week's match was held on Nuthatch with 8 anglers taking part. Some beautiful fish were caught despite the easterly breeze.

Six anglers participated on Nuthatch lake. First place was taken by Andy Jeffs with 17lb14oz, second place went to Andrew Harte with 9lb followed by Daniel 7lb 2, Istyn 1lb 15oz, Gareth 1lb 8oz and Jessica 2oz
A good day had by all.😀

Our team have been stock sampling the new lake, Kestrel, over the last couple of weeks.
Jeff, our barman, had a few hours on his day off and not only got his pb but then subsequently smashed it shortly after.
The first landed was a 24lb 9oz that went in at 23lb 10oz.
The second is a cracking 27lb with a weight gain from 24lbs 6ozs.
Congratulations to Jeff!!

Now stocked with fishing tackle and bait from Guru, Korda, Daiwa, Mainline, Leeda and Bait-tech.

Fresh produce including milk, bread, eggs, bacon, as well as coffee and freshly cooked pasties to go.

A gift and souvenir area with all items made in Devon or hand-crafted, including items from our own pet alpaca and sheep fleeces.

Well it’s a very exciting weekend for us here as we have welcomed our new arrivals into our animal family. They are very young and just finding their way around so are still very timid.

Here at Kingslakes we are very lucky to be able to welcome back many of our customers year after year. A couple of weeks ago one of our guests, Dudley, introduced his grandsons to a fishing holiday here. They are both very keen and able carp anglers, and upon arrival couldn’t wait to get catching. They put the hours in and here are some of their photos! 😀🎣 We can’t wait to welcome them back….

So it was the sheep’s turn yesterday for shearing, they were relieved to get rid of those heavy coats. The wet winter has not been kind to some of their fleeces this year.
