British farmers need us more than ever.

How can you support our farmers?

- Buy local, head to your nearest farm shop or farm gate if you can
- When in supermarkets check the labels - see where your items are coming from. Packaging can be deceptive!
- Buy in season - produce that is not in season tends to come from abroad. This not only helps our farmers but also the planet!
- Spread the word as much as you can.

Farmers are a key part to not only our daily meals but the way in which we enjoy the British countryside. Without them our landscape would look very different.

The and .head.somerleyton are both welcoming spots for you and your dogs! 🐶 The White Lion is walking distance from the barns while the Duke’s Head is a few miles away in the pretty village of Somerleyton. Both offer delicious menus, local ales and occasional live music or theme nights 🥂 (check out their websites for details). Be sure to mention you are bringing a four-footed family member when you book so they can seat you in the dog friendly areas

If you are looking for somewhere to go for a stunning walk (dogs allowed) whilst staying with us we can highly recommend Covehithe Beach (close to Southwold). The most beautiful walk capturing a massive variety of wildlife due to a hidden Broad alongside the beach. If you enjoy birdwatching this is the place to be! And if you are an early bird…here is the place to watch the sunrise 🌅. On the way home why not treat yourself to a lovely coffee and yummy treat from (our cows supply the milk here also 🐄)
