If you come down to the woods today, you'll see we've been thinning some of the overcrowded trees. As well as giving the trees that we've kept space to thrive, this is a source of renewable fuel for our Woodburner ar home. The brash (twiggy bits too small for firewood) is being used to protect coppice stools from grazing deer (see pic 2) or will be turned into wood chip to mulch the new hedge and make compost with.

This winter, we've planted some new hedging around the wagons. It's made up for a variety of native trees suited to our clayland soil. Thank you, , for the free tree packs that helped make this happen!

Here I am, looking pleased that the solar controller is fixed and back in place, meaning wagon #2 is once more open for business.

I've been out planting trees on the south side of wagon #2. It'll be a little while until they're big enough to shade the garden against the summer sun, so we'll be installing a canopy in the meantime.

The weather may have been pure winter this morning, but there were harbingers of spring a-plenty on my walk.

And now we've added some spring deals to our booking calendar too. For April and May term time, mid-week bookings are just £40 per night🌙 when you book for 3 nights or more, except bank holidays.

With the 20% off on stays of 5 nights or more and the £15 BYO linen discount, you could have a 5 night stay for as little as £145 this spring.
