A hot topic that can debated for years to come is “What makes holiday accommodation ACCESSIBLE?”
At HTH we have focussed our attention predominantly on aiming to meet the needs of those with complex mobility issues, recognising that within the confines of a static caravan footprint, it is virtually impossible to meet the needs of everyone.
We have tried to provide the same configuration and equipment at all of our caravans, so that if one meets the needs, the other should too. There are however subtle differences between some, that may affect some guests, and the introduction of caravans owned by others into the mix, has meant that there are a few more deviations from our preferred configuration.
The key for us has always been transparency in our offering, so that guests know exactly what to expect when they arrive.
From the outset we have recognised the importance of our video tours and pictures and, more recently accessibility statements, in providing the details to remove any surprises.
During 2024, with the help of some of our guests, we have been gathering lots more details and dimensions to add to our accessibility statements and in the next couple of weeks, these will all be updated and published to our website and social media channels.
We’re also going to produce a new quick reference chart that will list all of the details too.
