Programme: 18 weeks (not including the ceiling package)

This new build will form a separate building adjacent to the original school building. It will also include several classrooms across two floors, a multi space activity area, a servery, changing rooms and separate WC’s.

Wixams 4FE 🏫

Bellwood has carried out the works of installing the SFS to the externals of the building, partitioning and drylining to the internals as well as a full ceiling fitout.

We have had the pleasure of working alongside Willmott Dixon on this incredible project.

Talk about Mental Health 💚

Anxiety is the main focus this year for Mental Health Awareness Week. The majority of us will feel some sort of anxiety as it is a normal feeling to have, but occasionally it can spiral into a bigger thing.

As it can effect us all in different ways, it can be caused by so many different reasons.

Taking action to address specific causes of anxiety can also help – you could try spending more time with family or friends, becoming more physical (walking, running, swimming etc), mediating, writing in a journal, speaking to your employer (whether that is due to workplace stress or other reasons), or seeking support through speaking to someone online, over the phone or a registered professional.

How can you protect yourself during the warm weather on site;

🧊drink plenty of water
🪟have good ventilation to prevent hot air from circulating (by having windows open, air conditioning, blinds/reflective film on windows)
🕶️ SPF re applied regularly
🦺 opt for lightweight / lighter coloured clothing (but always comply to the PPE as required)
🏗️avoid working too close to machinery for long periods of time (additional heat source)
🤳 taking regular breaks

Women in Construction Week 2024 👷‍♀️

Lorraine is a valuable asset to our team with her wealth of knowledge. Being in the industry 15+ years the biggest change she has seen is seeing the increase of the women workforce (outside of administrative and financial roles). She also mentioned that it is important that we promote the opportunities for women in construction especially for the new generation.

Outstanding Score !

Bellwood was recently assessed on their drylining and beam encasements as apart of an NQA for one of our highly respected clients. The outcome was a score average of 96%. The assessor was highly complimentary across record keeping as well as workmanship.

Well done to the site team down at Wixams for their hard work.
