I got a great complement last weekend about the tour.
A lady was on the tour and she told me at the start that she has a bad leg.
She said I am telling you now so you won’t take it as an insult when I have to leave after about an hour. It won’t be any reflection on you or the tour; I just can’t walk for two hours.
She stayed to the very end.
She then told me that she was enjoying it so much that she just couldn’t leave.
That’s about as good a review as you could get.
Time-lapse video of the piece on Union Street done by
What an amazing piece of work.
In October 2022 Cathedral Building in Belfast was set on fire causing £3m of damage.
Almost two years later the two chimneys have been rebuilt and the roof is on ready for felt and slates.
It will be good to see it back to life again.
Summer Holiday time again and I am getting asked if the tours are still on.
They are indeed.
Saturday the 13th and Sunday the 14 at 10am and 1pm.
Book online or you can just message me if you want to book a slot.

The Celebrity Tree Trail in Belfast has 35 trees planted by different Celebrities.
There is a plaque on the ground showing who planted the tree and the date it was planted.
Outside Starbucks Coffee shop opposite the Europa the tree was planted by Cliff Richard.
The tree is gone but the plaque remains…….….. until this weekend.
As I was passing it on Saturday there is road works going on and the plaque is now gone.
I have to wait and see is it replaced when the road works are done.

A guest on tour at the weekend needed to spend a penny.
I told them that with inflation a penny was no good any more, it costs 20 penny's now to spend a penny.
This piece of street art is on Dunbar Street in Belfast
It’s a Deep Sea Diver holding a Mermaid and it is called Deep Love
The gentleman on the right was on tour and he told me that he posed in his Deep Sea Diver outfit, the artist took a photo and painted it on the wall.
So that is him on the wall on Dunbar Street beside .
A beautiful group on a beautiful day.
Here's hoping we get a good long summer.
Before and after art from last weekend.
This is on Union Street beside
Its worth having a look if you are in the area.
What about this for a bit of street art.
This guy is from London and his first time in Belfast.
There are nails all around the outside frame and he loops thread from one nail to the next to the next to the next and so on. Then changing colour and goes again and eventually an image of a skull starts to form.
This is on Union Street outside the (Sunflower Bar) if you want to have a look at it.
Truly amazing piece of work.
Union Street is ready for the street art tomorrow.
All the art that was there has been painted over black with a new artists name on the hording for them to do as they please.
Forecast is to be dry tomorrow so that bodes well for the artists.
If you are in the city it’s well worth taking a dander to Union Street to see the artists at work.
Almost every tour I take people ask about the Street Art around the city.
Hit The North is the name of the festival and it is run by .
It is on this Sunday the 5th and takes place on Union Street and Kent Street with the right at the centre were you can get yourself a drink and watch the experts at work.
If Buildings Could Talk Tour is on at 10am and 1pm if you want to make a day of it by having a walking tour and see the art work in action.

At long last we got an absolutely beautiful weekend in Belfast.
My tours were very busy and Paul Donnelly snapped a shot of me on his way past.
Great to see the dry warm days and the streets were so busy that I had guests asking if Belfast is always this busy.
A BIG thank you to all the guests who took my tour at the weekend.
This picture shows what it was like in Belfast over the weekend.
Companies are always trying new things in the market for a limited time and so often they get it wrong.
TAYTO have this one right, these are great if you like Tayto Cheese N’ Onion flavor.
I think these bad boys are here to stay.
Ignore the bit at the bottom of the bag that says:
BIG Sharing Pack
I was coming out of the car park this morning and there was an elderly lady at the pay station looking all confused.
I stopped to see if she needed help.
She had a very polite accent and wasn’t sure how to work the machine.
I put in her car reg number and she put in the coins to cover the parking time she needed.
She turned to me and thanked me for being so helpful then she looked at the gear I had on and said:
“A walking tour in Belfast, ohh how boring”
WHAT!!! I just helped you with your parking and you are calling me boring.
OH NO dear, I would never call you boring, but a walking tour in Belfast would be terribly boring.
So there you have it, not every person is a potential customer.
A couple of lovely reviews to kick off a new year of tours.
If you are planning on taking a tour, wrap up well.
Even if its dry and the sun is out it can be very cold.
Finally got to the top floor bar at the and yes it’s worth it.
Not the clearest of days so it must look amazing on a clear day.
Tomorrow will be my last tours of the year at 10am and 1pm.
Thank you so much to my guests through the year and a big thank you for the great reviews.
I can’t believe that next weekend will be the start of my 5th year doing this tour and last week I took a booking for the 7th September 2024.
Someone is planning well ahead.
Happy New Year to you all and I hope you all have a great 2024.
I go an email three weeks ago saying:
My name is Tony Admic and I run:
“I Love This Place”
A new YouTube channel that entices audience to visit destinations through personable storytelling and making locals heroes of the stories.
I replied that I would be delighted to do the tour for him.

Three guys I have known for years and have not seen them for a long time.
They came along today with their partners having had the tour in their plans for a long time.
What a cracking day we got, a nice sharp crisp winters day.
If you are planning a day in Belfast before Christmas you might want to try a walking tour.
10am and 1pm every Saturday and Sunday.
We certainly dodged a bullet this weekend regards the weather.
So much rain all week and it never stopped on Friday then we get 2 glorious days at the weekend.
People starting to ask: with the winter coming in, what time of year do I stop the tours?
I don’t, the tours go on all year, every Saturday and Sunday at 10am and 1pm
Going to bed on Saturday night I had 2 guests booked for the tour for Sunday.
When I got up on Sunday morning I had 6 guests booked and when the tour started I had 9 guests.
Some people book a few days in advance, some book a few hours before the tour and some just walk up at the start time.
Today I took a booking from a guest who is looking well in advance; it’s for the 24th of December.
That’s my Christmas Eve sorted, a walking tour and I might have a wee Christmas drink after the tour.
I was at the Visit Belfast shop yesterday waiting for a group of four to take the 10am tour but they didn’t turn up.
I didn’t have a contact number so I decided to give it until 10 past 10 incase they were running late.
At 10 past 10 a couple walked into the shop looking to see if there are any walking tours at this time of day.
Lucky me, I got a lovely couple from England to take the tour.
They were very interested and interesting and with only the 2 on tour we got plenty of chat as we went through the city.
Big tours good for business, small tours good for conversion.
This is the fifth time I have had a group out celebrating a Birthday.
What a great group they were and they braved the steady rain all through the tour.
A walking tour, a few drink then a meal, what a way to spend a day in Belfast.
Two friends from England that I have known for years but we have always met in Dublin. Their first time in Belfast and it was a pleasure having them on tour.
Kev and Julie, it was great to see you both again.
The other young lady is here for a month working for a company who are dredging Belfast harbor to clear the build up of silt.
You get to meet all types of people on walking tours.
All set for another warm weekend in Belfast.
The good weather helps make up for the evenings getting shorter.
I had a group last weekend from Nottingham and some of them were big fans of Line of Duty so I had to do a wee detour for this photo.
