WANT TO SNAP THE PERFECT SAFARI SHOT? 📷🦒🦏🦛🐘

Check out my top tips for snapping the perfect safari shot below 👇

- Use the right equipment - Use a good zoom lens to capture distant wildlife in detail. A good DSLR or mirrorless camera is ideal but don't rule out a decent smart phone with a good camera too.

-Golden hour magic! - The best lighting for safari photos is during the early morning and late afternoon when the light is soft and warm. This is also when the animals are most active .

-Focus on composition - To help make your your shots more visually appealing, use the rule of thirds and use elements like trees and water for context. Frame your subject thoughtfully and why not try different angles to see what works best?

- Be patient and observant - Sometimes the best shots take time to capture so relax and enjoy the experience.

The above are just some basic photography tips for capturing wildlife and scenery shots when on safari helping you bring some of the magical memories home.

Always remember to follow the advice of a trusted guide when going on safari or observing wildlife in their natural habitat.

TRAVEL TIPS FOR HEADING OUT ON SAFARI.. 🐘🦛🦏🦒

👉Don't forget to pack the essentials - binoculars, camera/good camera phone (try to avoid using a flash), sunscreen, water, hat.

👉 Wear light weight, breathable clothes with neutral colours to help you blend in. If taking an early morning or late evening safari, bring a warmer layer for the chillier hours.

👉Wear comfortable footwear and stay to the designated paths as instructed by your guide.

👉Always follow the advice of your safari guide. Most are local and great at tracking and anticipating animal movements so they help keep you safe when out on a game drive.

👉 This may sound like the obvious but always respect the animals environment. Observe their natural behaviours without getting too close for your safety and theirs. Try to avoid any activities where wild animals (especially babies) are handled by humans as these can often be linked to unethical practices and exploitation.

👉 Never leave the safari vehicle unless instructed to do so by your guide.

👉Try to avoid making loud noises as this can startle the animals.

👉Do not feed any wildlife as this can alter the animals natural behaviour and encourage a dependency on humans or may result in making wildlife ill.

👉Smoking is often prohibited on safari's as it poses a fire risk and can disturb wildlife.

👉 When trying to choose a safari experience, support accredited sanctuaries and reserves which prioritise animal welfare and conservation work.
