FUN FACT: Belfast, is not just famous for its history, but also where the cool breeze of innovation blew in - it's the birthplace of air conditioning! ❄️

Samuel Cleland Davidson, an engineer from Belfast, made significant contributions to the field of air conditioning.

In 1851, he developed an early form of air conditioning known as the Davidson Refrigeration Machine. This machine used a compressor to cool air and was primarily designed for industrial purposes rather than for human comfort.

While Willis Haviland Carrier is credited with the invention of modern electrical air conditioning in 1902, Davidson's work laid important groundwork for the development of cooling technology🙌🏼
