Off duty and in repose; myself, .i_stunt_guy , , the one and only, Stark Trooper extraordinaire, and guide, , and a Mormont fella I don't know!
This was Season 6, Battle of the Bastards. The location was so big, once you were on set you stayed there for the day. There was no shelter, there was no holding marquee, the nearest 'facilities' was 10-15 minutes walk (the tree line 5 minutes) So any time there was a break you sat where you could. On this occasion a wee buggy that we most definitely were not allowed to sit on, but by the look in everyone's eyes being told not to may have been answered with "is that right aye?" - I can hear Andrew saying that as I type it!

Anyone planning a trip to Northern Ireland who wanted a private relaxing base within 30/40 minutes of the city could not do better than .donaghadee. They even have a reimagining of the harbour outside the window being attacked by a very Ironborn Kraken painted by Lynseys husband, a talented local artist.

Bus tours are set times and routes, but with a private tour you can help write the schedule yourself.
Today was day 2 of a 2 day Private tour Winterfell last Sunday, Iron Islands today, and the guests really wanted to include the ,so off course we obliged.
Any GoT fan has to see the studio tour at Banbridge I've been twice now with private groups and I saw more this time than the last. It's truey impressive.

Yesterday was the seventh anniversary of the airing of Season 6 Episode 9 of "Battle of the Ba$tards" I've many shots from BoB to share but this one tells a story.
The 'big crush'' actually happened, and I was in the thick of it. (tagged bottom left) I'm not too proud to admit that it was uncomfortable at best, terrifying at worst. If you zoom in on the shot you will see that we are not 'shoulder to shoulder' but ribcage to ribcage, as tight as humans can be.
We started with about 50 extras corralled between the body wall of horse and human corpses and the Bolton pikemen. Then over the course of an hour more and more people were crammed into the pit, tighter, and tighter,..and tighter. Until the point our arms were pinned to our sides.
At that point we got the order to 'lift our arms' up to create more space, at which point MORE bodies were crammed in, tighter, and tighter,.. and tighter..... Ribcage to ribcage. And we stayed there for hours.
This is only a brief insight into this photo, anyone who has been on my tours know that there is a lot more to the story that can't go into print here!

Visited a very special location on a private Winterfell Tour yesterday. This is a location that even I have only visited twice before!
In season 4 episode 3, while Arya and The Hound were lost on their way to The Eerie, they rest under a stone bridge. Arya asks The Hound "Where are we?" The Hound replies "Near Fairmarket,..I think.."
Then they meet the poor farmer and his daughter, Sally, who invite them to their run down cottage for food and shelter. The Hound robs them, of course, and claims that they "will be dead by winter" anyway.
We find out in season 7 that The Hound was right when he and Thoros of Myr find their frozen bodies.

I had the privilege of hosting a wonderful young couple, Amanda and Alex, on a private Iron Islands tour yesterday on what was definitely a 'factor 50' day on the north coast of Ireland!
Amanda certainly enjoyed her 'death of a Wildling' photo!
We are a tour company, but what we really trade in is experiences and memorys.
