Touring Around Belfast

Touring Around Belfast Welcome to Touring Around Belfast.

Belfast is the capital of N.Ireland geographically part of the island of Ireland, but politically in the UK, so from the start of your visit you will find yourself in a land of contrasts – geographically, politically and culturally, from the marble Arch Caves to the basalt columns at the Causeway, fiddles banjos and Lambeg drums all brought together in a great big eclectic bundle of pick and mix.

Fairy glens to ceilli bars put on your mountain boots or high heeled shoes, tap your toes to traditional musicians or punk rock bands, swing across Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge or jig a reel across the dance floor. Listen to mythical tales and visit world heritage sites in a land that provided America with a quarter of its Presidents, built the Titanic and invented air conditioning – there’s just so much more to see and do in Belfast and beyond. Out and about visiting the farms and food producers around the north coast sampling everything from Owens Seasons of the Glens beautifully creamy Devils Churn Irish Whiskey Caramel sauce. Smoked Salmon from the north coast smokehouse. Neil’s seafood chowder at the Market Square and locally made Espresso Martini and limoncello then up to see Robin in Broughgammon to taste his gorgeous goat sausages and home produced North Antrim Salami then on around to the Amazing Amanda’s Ballykenver farmhouse kitchen to sample her amazing award winning Christmas puds and chutneys. Up around Derrys Walls with the good folk of the Norwegian Dawn where we came across that dirty traitor Lundy, a hapless apprentice called Johnny who’d lost his filthy Frenchy Jacobite prisoner. Then there was a grave digger who as quick as he buried the poor wretches the profiteering pie woman was digging them up and baking them.
Great fun had by all.
