Summer is coming to an end. Mr Hedgehog is about to curl up in all those Autumn leaves. Clover fields have finished flowering and bilberries have been picked and put in the freezer for winter. I love this peaceful time of year with all the autumn colours. It is lovely to see all the stars at night. To have the beaches to yourself.

BARBARA'S DISH CLOTHES
Made with Love and a hundred times better and more environmentally friendly than a disposable plastic scrubber. All our dish cloths are hand knitted by Barbara who can often be seen sitting on our porch knitting away in the sun. Barbara says she can't do it on a 'commercial scale' just enough to give to family and friends. If you are lucky enough to have been given one you will know how great they are. We keep them in the Honey Nuc Cottage. They are easily washed and sterilised.

So luck to live in such a beautiful part of the country. These are some random photos from the last month. From Bamburgh beach to Seahouses beach behind the golf course, In land to Heathpool country dog show where the scenery was stunning and our scruffy lurcher wore a 1st!

We have just built a 'Holz Hausen' or 'Bee Hive' Wood stack' on the lawn out side the Honey Nut Cottage with all the fire wood from storm Arwen. With much thanks to Nathalie and Kezz Petronelli Stone from Northumbrian Forestry for helping us process the wood. They did some filming of the wood stack and the Honey Nuc, this can be seen as part of their u-tube series

Adderstone Mains
Here are some photos of how the farm has changed over the last 20 years. I have lived on the farm all my life, growing up in the farmhouse. The farm buildings were sold off for development 15 years ago. My husband and I have renovated the cottage we live in and the Honey Nuc. The cottage was once part of a row of old farm buildings.

Well we have just invested in a comfortable new bed this year. No more squeeking bed noises! Cozy new bedding to match the Lowry print I have in the bedroom. Love this print with its match stick men. If you are visiting why not follow the Lowry trail round Berwick upon Tweed where he did many paintings.

Just saw these phots of my blue shed from last year before the damage from storm Arwin. It's a bit of a shame, my dove cote and a few bushes from the garden have gone but we are lucky really. A new sheds been ordered, just deciding on the colour to paint it?
