The Byre and The Mistal
The Byre and The Mistal are two beautiful holiday cottages in the Derbyshire Dales. Ideal for walkers, cyclists or just exploring the beautiful Derbyshire countryside and it’s attractions.
Set in the beautiful valley of Blackbrook the cottages have been converted from former outbuildings into spacious accommodation with gas central heating. These cottages are ideally suited to sharing couples, unfortunately we cannot accommodate children as the garden is unsuitable.
The hamlet of Blackbrook is ideal for walkers and has public footpaths in the immediate local area; the Midshires way passes directly past the property. There are local buses hourly which connect many of the local market towns the closest being Belper; a thriving community 2 km away and a pleasant walk across the fields by the river.
Belper has a wide range of cafe's, restaurants and pubs which serve traditional fare and a wide range of international cuisine. You will find local independent shops and a supermarket There are country pubs within 2 minute drive from the cottages and can be walked to in the better weather. .
